Human Peptidyl Arginine Deiminase Type VI ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human PADI6 (Peptidyl Arginine Deiminase Type VI) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with a colourmetric read-out at 450 nm in a microplate reader, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes.

The standard curve spans 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a reported sensitivity of <0.062 ng/ml. The procedure follows a sandwich enzyme immunoassay: standards and samples are added to the antibody-coated wells, washed, and then incubated sequentially with a Biotinylated Anti-PADI6 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is added and the enzymatic reaction is stopped with an acidic stop solution, producing a yellow colour whose intensity is proportional to the PADI6 concentration captured in each well.

Recovery has been reported for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples, with average recoveries of 91%, 90% and 84% respectively across the tested conditions.
