Antibodies.com supplies a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Peptidoglycan Recognition Protein 2 (PGLYRP2). The kit is reactive with human samples and is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, urine and other biological fluids. It employs a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for PGLYRP2; standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-PGLYRP2 detection antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is added to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the PGLYRP2 concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

The assay reports a range of 1.56–100 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.62 ng/ml, and the full protocol takes approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Average recovery is 91% in serum, 91% in EDTA plasma and 84% in heparin plasma, with validated sample dilutions at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16.
