Human Pepsinogen A ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com supplies this sandwich ELISA for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Pepsinogen I (also referred to as Pepsinogen A) in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate together with a biotinylated anti-Pepsinogen I detection antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. Bound analyte is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow on addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The quantitative assay covers a product range of 3.12–200 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <1.45 ng/ml, and the complete protocol takes 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery has been verified in serum (n=5, range 80%–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81%–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (n=5, range 80%–89%, average 84%). Dilution linearity was tested at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in matched serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples (n=5 each).

Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, two detection solutions, wash buffer concentrate, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Components are shipped under cooled conditions and stored at +4°C or -20°C as directed in the protocol manual; the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
