Human Pentraxin 3, Long ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Pentraxin 3/PTX3 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, saliva or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate with antibody specific for Pentraxin 3/PTX3 and employs a biotinylated detection antibody together with HRP-avidin and a TMB substrate; the resulting colour change is proportional to analyte concentration and is read at 450 nm.

The kit covers a measuring range of 0.312-20 ng/ml with a reported sensitivity of <0.114 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Validation data indicate mean recoveries of 91% for serum (range 80%-102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%, n=5) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%-89%, n=5). Linearity was demonstrated across serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 for the same sample types.
