Human Parathyroid Hormone Receptor 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human Parathyroid Hormone Receptor 2 (PTH2R) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The kit employs a pre-coated microplate format (12 x 8 well strips) in which PTH2R in standards and test samples is captured by an immobilised antibody, followed by detection with a biotinylated anti-PTH2R antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. The HRP enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow after addition of stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm and concentration is calculated from a standard curve.

The assay has a reported sensitivity of <0.118 ng/ml and a standard range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Colourimetric readout is performed on a microplate reader. Analytical recovery has been characterised in serum (range 80–102%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, average 90%, n=5) and heparin plasma (range 80–89%, average 84%, n=5). Dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across the same sample types. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
