Human Paralemmin ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human PALM/Paralemmin-1 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate to which an antibody specific for PALM/Paralemmin-1 is immobilised. Standards and test samples are captured by this antibody, detected with a Biotinylated Anti-PALM/Paralemmin-1 Antibody, and visualised using an HRP-Avidin conjugate with TMB substrate; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and referred to a standard curve.

Quantitative colorimetric detection delivers an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.053 ng/ml, and the complete protocol takes 4h 30m. The assay is suitable for use with human serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples, with reported recovery of 80–102% (average 91%) in serum (n=5), 81–100% (average 90%) in EDTA plasma (n=5), and 80–89% (average 84%) in heparin plasma (n=5).

Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
