Human Pappalysin 2 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human PAPP A2 (Pappalysin 2) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. It is reactive with human samples and read on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated microplate of 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and samples are added to wells coated with an antibody specific for PAPP A2; captured analyte is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-PAPP A2 Antibody followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm and concentration is calculated against the standard curve. Total assay time is 4h 30m, and kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Kit contents include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers.

Stated performance figures: assay range 0.312-20 ng/ml and sensitivity <0.142 ng/ml. Reported recovery averages in undiluted samples are 91% for serum (range 80%-102%), 91% for EDTA plasma (81%-101%) and 84% for heparin plasma (80%-89%). Across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16, recovery ranges were serum 74-107%, EDTA plasma 79-108% and heparin plasma 82-105%.
