Human p53 Upregulated Modulator Of Apoptosis ELISA Kit

Offered by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human PUMA (p53 Upregulated Modulator of Apoptosis) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for PUMA, into which standards and test samples are added so that PUMA present in each sample is captured on the plate.

Following incubation and washing, a biotinylated anti-PUMA antibody is added and binds the captured PUMA. An HRP-avidin conjugate is then introduced, and TMB substrate is used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction as a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The intensity of yellow is proportional to the amount of PUMA captured in each well, and concentration is calculated from the absorbance read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader against the standard curve.

The kit is reported with a sensitivity of <0.048 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. The total assay time is 4 h 30 min and the platform is a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Reactivity is Human.
