The 4 hour assay uses a pre-coated microplate, a biotinylated detection antibody, and an HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, producing a colorimetric signal read at 450 nm.

Average recovery in serum (n=10) spans 87-105% (mean 97%), in EDTA plasma 85-103% (mean 96%), and in heparin plasma 87-105% (mean 97%). Across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 sample dilutions, serum recovery falls between 80-102%, EDTA plasma between 83-104%, and heparin plasma between 80-103%. The kit is specific for P2X1 with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants. Healthy serum is recommended at 1:100-1:200 and healthy plasma at 1:20-1:100.
