A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) supplied by Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Oxytocin Receptor in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The kit is intended for research use only.
The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with an immobilised antibody specific for the Oxytocin Receptor. Standards and samples are incubated in the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Oxytocin Receptor Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution. The intensity of the yellow colour is directly proportional to the amount of Oxytocin Receptor captured in each well, and the concentration is calculated by reading the absorbance at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader against the standard curve.
The kit has an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.041 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Kit components are to be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and should not be used past the expiration date.
