Human Oxoguanine Glycosylase 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative in vitro determination of human Ogg1 (Oxoguanine Glycosylase 1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The standard curve spans 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.063 ng/ml, and the full workflow takes approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Following incubation with standards or samples, captured Ogg1 is detected using a biotinylated anti-Ogg1 antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, yielding a yellow colour whose intensity is proportional to Ogg1 concentration in the well.

Validation in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma gave mean recoveries of 91% (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% (range 81–100%, n=5) and 84% (range 80–89%, n=5) respectively, with dilution linearity also assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in each matrix.
