Human Oxidative Stress Induced Growth Inhibitor 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human OSGIN1 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. Reported sensitivity is <0.064 ng/ml, with an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml, and detection is read colorimetrically at 450 nm on a microplate reader.

The assay uses an antibody specific for OSGIN1 pre-coated onto a microtiter plate. Standards and samples are added to the wells where OSGIN1 is captured by the immobilized antibody. Following incubation and washing, a biotinylated anti-OSGIN1 antibody binds the captured analyte, then HRP-Avidin is added. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution; absorbance at 450 nm is proportional to OSGIN1 concentration. Total assay time is 4h 30m.

In addition to cell lysates and tissue homogenates, the kit is validated for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Reported recoveries (n=5) are: Serum 80-102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma 81-101% (average 91%), Heparin plasma 80-89% (average 84%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is reported as: Serum 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101% and 92-97%; EDTA plasma 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101% and 79-108%; Heparin plasma 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105% and 89-91%.
