Human OVA sIgE (Ovalbumin Specific IgE) ELISA Kit

An indirect ELISA from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Ovalbumin Specific IgE in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The assay is specific for Ovalbumin Specific IgE with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants, and uses a pre-coated microplate format.

The four-hour protocol works as follows: standards and samples are added to antigen-coated wells where Ovalbumin Specific IgE binds to the immobilized antigen. After washing, an enzyme-conjugated detection antibody is added, forming an indirect immune complex with the captured target. Following further incubation and washing, TMB substrate is added; the resulting blue product turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm. The colour intensity is directly proportional to the concentration of Ovalbumin Specific IgE and is calculated against a standard curve.

The kit has a reported product range of 1.563–100 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL, with colorimetric detection on a microplate reader. Components are shipped at +4°C and stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed in the Protocol Manual; freeze/thaw cycles should be avoided and the kit should not be used past its expiration date. Validation data report mean recovery rates of approximately 95% across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples, with parallel dilution-linearity results provided for these sample types.
