Human Osteoprotegerin ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com offers a sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative in vitro determination of human Osteoprotegerin in cell culture supernatant, serum, and plasma. The assay uses a quantitative sandwich immunoassay format in which a monoclonal antibody specific for human OPG is immobilised on microwells. Standards or samples are pipetted into the wells, followed by a biotin-linked detection antibody; any OPG present is captured and detected with streptavidin-HRP and a colorimetric substrate, then read on a microplate reader after addition of stop solution. The kit can assay both native and recombinant human OPG and has shown no significant cross-reactivity.

Reported sensitivity is <1.36 pg/ml, with an assay range of 62.50 – 4000 pg/ml and an average recovery of 103% from serum samples. Kits are stored at +4°C and should not be used past their expiration date.
