Human Osteonectin ELISA Kit

Offered by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Osteonectin (SPARC) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate with an antibody specific for SPARC, followed by Biotinylated Anti-SPARC Antibody binding, HRP-Avidin conjugate detection and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. Reported sensitivity is <0.235 ng/ml, the assay range is 0.625-40 ng/ml, and total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Sample recovery was assessed across matrices: serum (n=5) gave an average of 91% over a range of 80-102%, EDTA plasma (n=5) averaged 90% (81-99%), and heparin plasma (n=5) averaged 84% (80-89%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 returned recoveries of 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101% and 92-97% respectively for serum; 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101% and 79-108% for EDTA plasma; and 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105% and 89-91% for heparin plasma (all n=5).
