Human Osteocalcin ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Osteocalcin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with an immobilised anti-Osteocalcin capture antibody, followed by a biotinylated anti-Osteocalcin detection antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate and an acidic stop solution are used to generate a colorimetric signal read at 450 nm on a microplate reader.

Performance figures include a reported sensitivity of 22.7 pg/ml and a product range of 62.5-4000 pg/ml. Mean recovery across five replicates was 91% (range 80-102%) for serum, 90% (range 81-99%) for EDTA plasma and 84% (range 80-89%) for heparin plasma. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes, and kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
