Human Orosomucoid 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Orosomucoid 2 in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The kit is supplied as a pre-coated microplate in a 12 x 8 well strip format, with absorbance read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm.

The microplate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for Orosomucoid 2. Standards and samples are added to the wells, where the target binds the immobilised capture antibody. After washing, a biotinylated anti-Orosomucoid 2 detection antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added, producing a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution; the intensity of the yellow colour is directly proportional to the amount of Orosomucoid 2 captured, allowing quantitation against the standard curve.

Quantitative performance: assay range 62.5–4000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 27.8 pg/ml and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. The kit has been validated with serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Reported average recovery values are 91% for serum (range 80%–102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%, n=5) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%–89%, n=5). Linearity of dilution is provided at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed in the protocol.
