Human Oncostatin M ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Oncostatin M (OSM) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate formatted as 12 x 8 well strips, paired with a biotinylated anti-OSM detection antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with the colour change read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The standard curve spans 15.6–1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 6.0 pg/ml, and the full incubation protocol takes 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

Spike-and-recovery testing (n=5 per matrix) gave average recoveries of 91% for serum (range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions fell within the manufacturer's reported ranges for each of the three sample types.
