Human Olfactomedin 4 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative in vitro determination of human Olfactomedin 4 (OLFM4) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The 96-well microplate is pre-coated with an anti-OLFM4 capture antibody; standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-OLFM4 detection antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a yellow colour proportional to bound OLFM4, read at 450 nm with a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay covers a range of 62.5–4000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <23.6 pg/ml and a total run time of 4 hours 30 minutes. In validation, recovery averaged 91% in serum (n=5, range 80%–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (n=5, 81%–100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (n=5, 80%–89%). Dilution linearity from 1:2 to 1:16 yielded recoveries of 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97% in serum; 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108% in EDTA plasma; and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91% in heparin plasma (each n=5).

Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well strip-format microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or –20°C as instructed in the protocol.
