This quantitative sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro determination of human Glucocorticoid Receptor (Nuclear Receptor Subfamily 3, Group C, Member 1). It is suitable for use with tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids, and the assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 × 8 well strips) read at 450 nm with a colorimetric microplate reader.

The standard curve spans a product range of 0.156–10 ng/ml with a reported sensitivity of <0.064 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. A specific capture antibody is immobilised on the plate; standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-Glucocorticoid Receptor antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution, with absorbance proportional to analyte concentration.

Recovery has been characterised in serum (range 80%–102%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (81%–100%, average 90%, n=5) and heparin plasma (80%–89%, average 84%, n=5). Dilution linearity has been assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across the same matrices. The kit is supplied with a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers; components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed and should not be used past the stated expiration date.
