The assay employs a pre-coated microplate, a biotinylated anti-NuMA detection antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate, and a TMB substrate; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The reported sensitivity is 0.056 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes.
