Human Noggin ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Noggin in human samples. The kit uses a pre-coated microplate format read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm.

The assay is intended for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It uses a Noggin-specific capture antibody pre-coated on the plate, a biotinylated anti-Noggin detection antibody, and HRP-Avidin with TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction yields a blue product that becomes yellow on addition of acidic stop solution, and absorbance at 450 nm is directly proportional to Noggin concentration.

According to the manufacturer, sensitivity is 0.059 ng/ml, the standard curve covers 0.156–10 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported spike-and-recovery values are 80%–102% (average 91%) for serum, 81%–100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma, and 80%–89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma (n=5). Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past the stated expiration date.
