Human Nitric Oxide Synthase Trafficker ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Nitric Oxide Synthase Trafficker (NOSTRIN), provides a colorimetric assay suitable for tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids. Standards and samples are added to wells of a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) where NOSTRIN is captured by an immobilised antibody; a biotinylated anti-NOSTRIN detection antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate are then applied sequentially. After incubation with TMB substrate and addition of acidic stop solution, the yellow product is read at 450 nm, with colour intensity proportional to the NOSTRIN concentration.

Sensitivity is reported at <0.048 ng/ml, the assay range is 0.156-10 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery data for serum averages 91% (range 80-102%, n=5), EDTA plasma averages 91% (range 81-101%, n=5), and heparin plasma averages 84% (range 80-89%, n=5), with dilution linearity characterised at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16.
