Human Nitric Oxide Synthase 3, Endothelial ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human endothelial Nitric Oxide Synthase (eNOS) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The assay uses an antibody specific for eNOS pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells; following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-eNOS Antibody binds the captured eNOS, then an HRP-Avidin conjugate is added. A TMB substrate produces a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and the concentration of eNOS is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

Reactivity is specific to human samples. Detection is colorimetric on a pre-coated microplate platform, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. The assay range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml and the sensitivity is <5.5 pg/ml. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Recovery data are provided for serum (n=5), EDTA plasma (n=5) and heparin plasma (n=5), with average values of 91%, 90% and 84% respectively across the stated ranges. Dilutional linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is also demonstrated across the same sample types.
