From Antibodies.com, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human NOX1 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where NOX1 is captured by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-NOX1 Antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. The reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution; the absorbance at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader is proportional to the NOX1 captured in each well.

The reported assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.065 ng/ml, and total assay time is 4h 30m. Recovery and dilution linearity values are stated for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples. The kit is supplied with a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and adhesive plate sealers, with components stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
