Human Neurotrophin 3 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human Neurotrophin 3 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The 96-well microplate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for Neurotrophin 3, and captured analyte is detected sequentially with a Biotinylated Anti-Neurotrophin 3 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The intensity of the yellow colour is proportional to the amount of Neurotrophin 3 captured in each well, and the concentration is calculated by reading the absorbance at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader against the standard curve. Total assay time is reported as 4 hours 30 minutes.

The assay is configured for human reactivity, with a stated product range of 78.1–5000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 27 pg/ml. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Spike-and-recovery validation across serum (n=5), EDTA plasma (n=5) and heparin plasma (n=5) returned ranges of 80%–102% (average 91%), 81%–100% (average 90%) and 80%–89% (average 84%), respectively. Linearity-of-dilution testing at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions is also reported for these sample types.
