Human Neurotensin Receptor 2 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Neurotensin Receptor 2 in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, in which an antibody specific for Neurotensin Receptor 2 is pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-Neurotensin Receptor 2 detection antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate solution produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution, with absorbance read at 450nm in a microplate reader.

The kit provides a detection sensitivity of 0.061 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml. It is supplied as a pre-coated microplate platform comprising 12 x 8 well strips and is intended for colourimetric readout. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes, and kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Sample recovery has been characterised in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. Reported average recovery values were 91% for serum (range 80-102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81-100%, n=5), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80-89%, n=5).
