Human Neurotensin Receptor 1, High Affinity ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Neurotensin Receptor 1 (NTSR1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate with colorimetric detection read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

Standards and samples are added to antibody-coated wells, followed by a biotinylated anti-NTSR1 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate produces a colour change proportional to NTSR1 concentration; absorbance at 450 nm is read and concentration calculated against a standard curve. Total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Performance specifications include a product range of 0.312–20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.126 ng/ml. Spike-and-recovery in serum was 80–102% (n=5, average 91%), in EDTA plasma 81–100% (n=5, average 90%), and in heparin plasma 80–89% (n=5, average 84%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is reported for serum (87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101%, 92–97%), EDTA plasma (90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101%, 79–108%) and heparin plasma (84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105%, 89–91%).
