Human Neuroserpin ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Neuroserpin in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, in which an antibody specific for Neuroserpin is pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and Neuroserpin is captured by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Neuroserpin Antibody binds the captured target, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate visualises the enzymatic reaction as a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the Neuroserpin concentration is calculated from the standard curve.

Reported sensitivity is <0.33 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.781–50 ng/ml and a total run time of 4h 30m. Recovery has been characterised in serum (n=5; range 80%–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5; range 81%–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (n=5; range 80%–89%, average 84%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is reported as: serum 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101%, 92–97%; EDTA plasma 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101%, 79–108%; heparin plasma 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105%, 89–91%.
