Human Neuropeptide Y Receptor Y5 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Neuropeptide Y Receptor Y5 (NPY5R). It is suitable for use with tissue homogenates and other biological fluids, including serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for NPY5R. Standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-NPY5R detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the NPY5R concentration is calculated from the standard curve. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes [S1].

Reported sensitivity is <0.108 ng/ml with a measurable range of 0.312-20 ng/ml [S1]. In matched-sample testing (n=5), average recovery values were 91% for serum (range 83-100%), 94% for EDTA plasma (range 90-99%) and 96% for heparin plasma (range 91-101%) [S1]. Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions is provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples [S1].
