Human Neurofilament, Heavy Polypeptide ELISA Kit

The sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Neurofilament Heavy Polypeptide in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, or other biological fluids. The kit is supplied with a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

The assay has a product range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 5.2 pg/ml. Recovery in undiluted samples has been validated in serum (80–102%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (81–100%, average 90%, n=5), and heparin plasma (80–89%, average 84%, n=5).

Dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16. Across these dilutions, serum showed recoveries of 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101%, and 92–97%; EDTA plasma showed 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101%, and 79–108%; and heparin plasma showed 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105%, and 89–91%. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed in the protocol and should not be used past the expiration date.
