Human Neurofilament 3 ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com supplies this sandwich ELISA for the in vitro quantitative determination of human 160kD Neurofilament Medium in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cerebrospinal fluid and other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with antibody specific for 160kD Neurofilament Medium; captured analyte is detected with a Biotinylated Anti-160kD Neurofilament Medium Antibody, HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The standard curve spans 15.6-1000 pg/ml and the reported sensitivity is <6.2 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. The intensity of yellow product formed after the stop solution is added is proportional to the amount of 160kD Neurofilament Medium captured in each well.

Validated spike-and-recovery averages are 91% in serum (range 80% - 102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81% - 100%, n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80% - 89%, n=5), and dilution linearity is retained from 1:2 to 1:16 in all three matrices. Supplied components are a pre-coated 96 well microplate (12 x 8 well strips), lyophilised standard (2 vials), Detection Solution A (120μl), Detection Solution B (120µl), 30X Wash Buffer (20ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45ml), TMB Substrate (9ml), Stop Solution (6ml) and plate sealers, intended for storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not for use past the kit expiration date.
