Human Netrin 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) enables in vitro quantitative determination of human Netrin 1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate and follows the sandwich enzyme immunoassay principle: standards and samples are added to wells where Netrin 1 is captured by an immobilized specific antibody. After incubation and washing, a biotinylated anti-Netrin 1 antibody binds the captured analyte, followed by addition of HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate to generate a measurable colour change read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

According to the manufacturer, the assay range is 31.2–2000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <11.6 pg/ml. The complete assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes, with colorimetric detection on a standard microplate reader. Kit components are shipped at +4°C and stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed in the protocol manual; the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Reported validation data for the assay include average recoveries of 94% (range 88–101%) for serum (n=5), 97% (range 91–103%) for EDTA plasma (n=5), and 95% (range 92–98%) for heparin plasma (n=5).
