Human Nesprin 2 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Nesprin 2 in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) to which a Nesprin 2-specific capture antibody has been bound. Standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-Nesprin 2 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is used to visualize the reaction; the absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and the Nesprin 2 concentration is calculated from the standard curve.

The assay has a measuring range of 0.312–20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.112 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date. Reported spiking recovery (n=5) is 89%–101% (average 95%) in serum, 91%–101% (average 96%) in EDTA plasma, and 91%–101% (average 96%) in heparin plasma. Dilution linearity ranges are provided for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions.

Reactivity is human, and the kit is suitable for tissue homogenates and other biological fluids.
