Human Nesprin 1 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit, supplied by Antibodies.com, is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Nesprin1/Syne-1 in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips, with an immobilised antibody specific for Nesprin1/Syne-1. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a biotinylated anti-Nesprin1/Syne-1 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. Signal is developed with TMB substrate and read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, with the density of the yellow product being proportional to the amount of Nesprin1/Syne-1 captured.

The kit reports a sensitivity of <0.105 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312-20 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma (n=5), with average recoveries of 95%, 96%, and 96% respectively. Components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
