Human Nephrin ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com provides a Human Nephrin ELISA Kit designed as a sandwich ELISA for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Nephrin in urine, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is specific for human Nephrin.

The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips. Nephrin in standards or samples is captured by an immobilised antibody, then detected using a biotinylated anti-Nephrin antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is added and the reaction is stopped with acidic stop solution, producing a yellow colour read at 450 nm on a microplate reader. Total assay time is 4h 30m. The product range is 0.312-20 ng/ml and sensitivity is <0.123 ng/ml.

Spike-and-recovery was evaluated in serum (range 80%-102%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%, average 90%, n=5) and heparin plasma (range 80%-89%, average 84%, n=5). Dilution linearity across dilutions of 1:2 to 1:16 was demonstrated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5 each). Kit components include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, sample dilution buffer, wash buffer, detection solutions A and B, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
