Human NEL Like Protein 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human NELL2 (NEL Like Protein 2) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for NELL2 pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where NELL2 is bound by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-NELL2 Antibody binds the captured target, followed by addition of an HRP-Avidin conjugate.

A TMB substrate solution is then used to visualize the reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The density of the yellow colour is proportional to the amount of NELL2 captured in each well, and the concentration is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader and referring to the standard curve.

The assay has a reported sensitivity of 0.113 ng/ml and a measuring range of 0.312-20 ng/ml. Detection is colorimetric and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the product is for research use only.
