Human NEFA ELISA Kit

This competitive ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Nesfatin 1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The 2-hour assay uses a pre-coated microplate in which analyte present in standards or samples competes with immobilised Nesfatin 1 for binding to an assay-specific antibody. After incubation and washing steps, HRP-Streptavidin conjugate is added and a TMB substrate produces a colour change measured at 450 nm using a microplate reader; signal intensity is inversely proportional to the analyte concentration.

The kit is reported to be specific for Nesfatin 1 with no cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants. Quantitative performance is stated as a measuring range of 0.313-20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL. Reported average recovery values are 93% in serum, 96% in EDTA plasma, and 92% in heparin plasma. Components are shipped at +4 °C and stored at +4 °C or -20 °C as instructed in the protocol manual; freeze/thaw cycles should be avoided and the kit must not be used past the expiration date.
