Human N-Sulfoglucosamine Sulfohydrolase ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com provides a sandwich ELISA kit for the in vitro quantitative determination of human SGSH/HSS (N-Sulfoglucosamine Sulfohydrolase) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with human samples and uses a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate (12 x 8 well strips) onto which an antibody specific for SGSH/HSS has been immobilised. Standards and test samples are added, captured SGSH/HSS is bound, and detection is carried out with a Biotinylated Anti-SGSH/HSS Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The reaction is visualised with TMB substrate solution, which turns yellow after the addition of acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader with the concentration calculated against the standard curve.

The kit is configured as a colourmetric sandwich (quantitative) assay with a reported assay time of 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date. Reported sensitivity is <0.054 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml. The manufacturer states the kit is suitable for cell lysates and tissue homogenates.

Reported sample recovery (n=5) covers serum (80–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (81–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (80–89%, average 84%). Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 has been reported for serum (87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101%, 92–97%), EDTA plasma (90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101%, 79–108%) and heparin plasma (84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105%, 89–91%).
