Human N-Acetylneuraminic Acid Synthase ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human N-Acetylneuraminic Acid Synthase (NANS) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, a biotinylated anti-NANS antibody and HRP-avidin detection, with TMB substrate and an acidic stop solution producing a yellow product that is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The reported sensitivity is <0.059 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Average recovery values are: serum (n=5) 91%, range 80%–102%; EDTA plasma (n=5) 90%, range 81%–100%; heparin plasma (n=5) 84%, range 80%–89%. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
