Human Myxovirus Resistance 1 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com enables in vitro quantitative determination of human MX1 (Myxovirus Resistance 1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate and follows the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique: an antibody specific for MX1 is immobilised on the plate, standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-MX1 Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. After incubation and washing, a TMB substrate is added; the reaction is stopped with acidic stop solution and the absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader. The product range is 0.781–50 ng/ml, with a reported sensitivity of <0.27 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.

Reported values across three matrices are as follows: Serum (n=5) range 80%–102%, average 91%; EDTA Plasma (n=5) range 81%–100%, average 90%; Heparin Plasma (n=5) range 80%–89%, average 84%. Dilution linearity was evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with the following observed ranges: Serum 74%–107%, EDTA Plasma 79%–108%, Heparin Plasma 82%–105%.
