Human Myosin Heavy Chain 6, Cardiac Muscle, Alpha ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Myosin Heavy Chain 6, Cardiac Muscle, Alpha (MYH6) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and employs a biotinylated anti-MYH6 antibody with an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is added and the resulting yellow product is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader. Total assay time is 4h 30m and detection is colourimetric.

Sensitivity is stated as <0.125 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml. Spike-and-recovery (n=5) is reported as 80%–102% (average 91%) for serum, 81%–100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma, and 80%–89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions is provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5 each).

Components include the pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilized standard (2 vials), Detection Solution A (120 µl), Detection Solution B (120 µl), 30X Wash Buffer (20 ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml), TMB Substrate (9 ml), Stop Solution (6 ml) and plate sealers. Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit is not to be used past its expiration date.
