Human Myosin Heavy Chain 2, Skeletal Muscle, Adult ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human MYH2 (Myosin Heavy Chain 2, Skeletal Muscle, Adult). It is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids, and has been validated for reactivity in Human samples.

The kit is supplied on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-MYH2 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. Signal is developed with TMB substrate and an acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. Reported performance figures include an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, a sensitivity of <0.136 ng/ml, and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes.

Spike-and-recovery has been characterised in serum (n=5, range 80–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (n=5, range 80–89%, average 84%). Linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions spans 74–108% across these sample types. Kit contents include the pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard (2 vials), Detection Solution A (120 μl), Detection Solution B (120 μl), 30X Wash Buffer (20 ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml), TMB Substrate (9 ml), Stop Solution (6 ml) and plate sealers (5 adhesive strips). Components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the stated expiration date.
