Human Myosin Binding Protein C, Cardiac ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human MYBPC3 (Myosin Binding Protein C, Cardiac) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) in a colourmetric format, with detection carried out by reading the absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader following a TMB-based enzymatic reaction.

The workflow follows a sandwich enzyme immunoassay in which MYBPC3 captured by the immobilised antibody is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-MYBPC3 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The stated product range is 0.156-10 ng/ml and sensitivity is <0.058 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Reported average recovery values are 80-102% (average 91%) for serum (n=5), 81-101% (average 91%) for EDTA plasma (n=5) and 80-89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma (n=5). Dilution linearity is also reported for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at sample dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16.

Storage conditions as instructed are -20°C for the pre-coated plate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions and sample dilution buffer, and +4°C for the wash buffer, TMB substrate and stop solution.
