Human Myo Inositol Oxygenase ELISA Kit

The Antibodies.com MIOX ELISA Kit is a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human MIOX (Myo Inositol Oxygenase) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and a colourimetric detection format. A specific anti-MIOX antibody immobilises the target on the plate; bound analyte is then detected with a biotinylated anti-MIOX antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow on addition of stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm against a standard curve.

Reported sensitivity is <0.058 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.156-10 ng/ml. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery (n=5) is 80%-102% (average 91%) for serum, 81%-100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma and 80%-89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and adhesive plate sealers, to be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. The kit should not be used past its expiration date.
