Description

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative measurement of human CCL23 (target: Myeloid Progenitor Inhibitory Factor 1) in serum, plasma, and other biological fluids. The assay employs a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for CCL23. Following incubation with standards and samples, wells are washed and incubated with a biotinylated anti-CCL23 antibody, then with an HRP-avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate is added, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of CCL23 captured, and absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The stated assay range is 15.6–1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <5.4 pg/ml, and the total assay time is approximately 4h 30m. Reported recovery values (n=5) are: serum 80–102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma 81–100% (average 90%), and heparin plasma 80–89% (average 84%). Dilution linearity has been demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples.

Components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips, stored at -20°C), two vials of lyophilized standard (-20°C), 120 µl each of Detection Solutions A and B (-20°C), 20 ml of 30X Wash Buffer (+4°C), 45 ml of Sample Dilution Buffer (-20°C), 9 ml of TMB Substrate (+4°C), 6 ml of Stop Solution (+4°C), and five adhesive plate sealers. The kit should not be used past its expiration date.
