A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human MCL1 (Myeloid Cell Leukemia Sequence 1, Bcl2 Related) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. Reactivity is human.

The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique using a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for MCL1. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a biotinylated anti-MCL1 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, which is stopped with an acidic solution and read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The quoted sensitivity is 0.118 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.312-20 ng/ml. Reported average recovery is 91% in serum (range 80%-102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80%-89%). Linearity data are provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

Kit components include a pre-coated microplate of 12 x 8 well strips, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the product is intended for research use only.
