Human Myelin Associated Glycoprotein ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Myelin Associated Glycoprotein (MAG/GMA) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. Reactivity is human and the assay type is quantitative.

The assay employs pre-coated wells, a biotinylated anti-MAG/GMA detection antibody, and an HRP-avidin conjugate, with a TMB substrate read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The quantitative range is 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.113 ng/ml, and the protocol is completed in 4 hours 30 minutes. Spiked recovery in serum averaged 91% (range 80–102%, n=5), in EDTA plasma 90% (range 81–100%, n=5), and in heparin plasma 84% (range 80–89%, n=5). Linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions was 87–91% to 92–97% in serum, 90–105% to 79–108% in EDTA plasma, and 84–95% to 89–91% in heparin plasma. Reagents are stored at +4°C or −20°C as indicated on individual components, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
