Human MutY Homolog ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human MYH/MUTYH in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. An antibody specific for MYH/MUTYH is immobilised on the plate; standards and test samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-MYH/MUTYH antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. After incubation and washing, a TMB substrate solution is added, producing a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution. The intensity of yellow is proportional to the amount of MYH/MUTYH captured, and the concentration is calculated from the O.D. absorbance read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported sensitivity is <0.041 ng/ml, with an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml. The protocol runs over approximately 4h 30m. Sample recovery data are provided for human serum (n=5) ranging from 80%-102% with an average of 91%, EDTA plasma (n=5) from 81%-100% with an average of 90%, and heparin plasma (n=5) from 80%-89% with an average of 84%. Dilution linearity is reported across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
