Human Mucin 7, Secreted ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com enables quantitative determination of human Mucin 7, Secreted (MUC7/MG2) in serum, plasma, saliva, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and is read colorimetrically at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

The kit employs a sandwich enzyme immunoassay format. Standards and samples bind to wells coated with an antibody specific for MUC7/MG2, then are detected with a Biotinylated Anti-MUC7/MG2 Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is converted to a yellow product whose absorbance is proportional to MUC7/MG2 concentration. The assay range is 0.312-20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.117 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m, and kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated.

Average recovery in undiluted samples was 91% for serum (n=5, range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (n=5, range 80–89%). Dilution linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions (n=5) spanned 74–107% for serum, 79–108% for EDTA plasma and 82–105% for heparin plasma.
